Chand Baori, India
Well of Chand Baori is one of the unique archaeological sites of India, preserved since ancient times. This form is an inverted cone, its depth is about 30 m. the Main feature of Chand Baori is a stepped wall which you can walk down to the water tank. The exact date of the construction of the well is unknown. Despite the fact, that the well water does not meet sanitary standards and recognized unfit for drinking and bathing, and hundreds of daily pilgrims descend to the bottom of the well to perform the ritual of ablution.
