Wakatobi National Park is a reserve marine park, which is located in the southern part of the island of Sulawesi. National Park is the third largest in size among marine parks in Indonesia. The well-known researcher of the deep sea, Jacques Cousteau called it “underwater nirvana.”
The territory of the National Marine Park – 1.4 million hectares, 900,000 hectares of which – it’s different types and colors of the coral reefs. In addition, the island famous for its largest barrier reef in Indonesia – second only to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. In addition to the reef park is known for the fact that its territory inhabited by the largest number of fish species.
