Most colorful foods are highly beneficial as they usually are very rich in healthy nutrients. Unfortunately, some of them may provoke damage to your teeth and lead to staining or discoloration. It turns out, that red wine, blueberries, and blackberries can greatly hurt your “white ivories”. Tea, coffee, and soda pop are equally damaging. The most destructive foods are usually dark in color, so before the food goes into your mouth, think twice of its impact on your teeth.
Avoiding all of these foods is hardly possible, but trying to limit the less beneficial ones will do you good. Another good option is brushing your teeth after their consumption. You may also consider introducing of healthy replacement with fruits and veggies high in fiber. Carrots, apples, celery, spinach, and broccoli will be great for your health and a lot safer for a smile than one more cup of coffee. Greens, for example, provide a multitude of healthy nutritional substances that your body also strongly needs.
