Silver is not as treasured as gold, but it still has lots of fine qualities. This is why people have always mined silver in various regions including desert. In 1859 a huge silver deposit was found in Nevada, which transferred the United States into one of the richest countries. The worth of silver was amounted to 225 million dollars, which was a huge mint of money for those days. For a long time America was the most important miner of silver multiplying its wealth until the situation changed and new deposits in Peru and Mexico surpassed the US supply.
